Get home from a wet camp and there's still a tent to dry. Before the next one, there might be a head torch to charge and maps to download. Care & preparation gives those jobs a place alongside your trips and gear. I've put together an example below to show how it works.
Before the bag is packed
A one-off job, like downloading maps, can belong to a trip and have a date or a lead time before departure.
For a job you do every time, you can make it repeat. Link a charging task to your head torch and it appears before trips that include the torch in Gear. Its timing follows the trip if the dates change.

When you get home
In the example, I've set a task to dry the tent one day after each trip that uses it. It appears under After the trip, and follows the return date if that changes.
A damaged zip or a leaking mat can have a one-off action too. When the job is done, you can record the date and a note. The history stays with the gear, so you can see what you've checked or repaired.

Let the regular jobs come round again
Some care isn't tied to a trip. A jacket inspection could repeat every few months after you complete it, so the next date counts from when you did the check.
There's a fixed calendar schedule too, if that's more useful for the job.
Care & preparation is still experimental. I'm refining how the tasks and routines work together, and feedback from using it on your own trips is welcome.
I hope it leaves a little less to remember next time you head out.
