This pack is for moving fast in the hills when the weather is good and bed for the night is a nook big enough to fit a bivvy.

I do not venture too far north in the winter months so ice axes are not required. This pack instead has all the gear that will keep me warm and cozy regardless of the weather. It's heavier but worth it as nights are long. I do save some weight by not taking my midgie net!
